“Spring has come to the English town of Stafford and it has come time for the election of a new mayor. The stately Sir John Woodward and the opportunistic Sir Walter Aston have both been nominated to serve the people of Stafford as Mayor. Shortly after Sir Walter casts the first ballot, though, the ballot box is stolen on the orders of Sir Walter’s social climbing wife. Will the ballot box be recovered before the votes must be tallied or will Sir Walter’s vote be the only one that decides the fate of Stafford?
Last Season’s Story
Stafford. For centuries, this quiet crossroad town has been a haven for farmers and merchants trying to make an honest living. Now, all of that is going to change. A growing storm is on the horizon, a storm threatening to steal the lands from the good folk of Stafford and turn them over to the big business of wool. Sir Walter Aston has come to the town of Stafford in order to complete his takeover of the land he needs to make him rich. His plan is simple: buy the land, throw off the peasants, raise sheep and sell the wool overseas.
He faces only one obstacle: the good people of Stafford. Will the town be able to stave off this threat to their way of life? Will a champion arise to fight for them? Or will rich get richer, the poor get poorer, and all but the most wealthy lose everything they have? Can the good people of Stafford band together to stop the evil plans of Sir Wally Aston?”
