Mac McQuown has set out on an amazing journey, one that rivals his time serving in the United States Marine Corps.  He has pledged to walk 15,000 miles to visit the capitals of the 50 United States in order to bring awareness to the many issues that face our veterans today. He began this adventure on September 11, 2011 from the Globe and Laurel Restaurant and  it is estimated that his journey will take Mac more than 5 years.  To date he has walked more than 500 miles and on Saturday, December 17, 2011, he will pass through his hometown of Stafford, VA.

In celebration of his accomplishments and to show him the love and support that is behind him, Lowe’s of Stafford will be hosting a special event. There will be a special Build and Grow event for the kids that will begin at 1:00 pm. and the Anthony James Band will entertain the crowd with live music. There will be food, fun and entertainment for the whole family.
