Since Crave opened in January in the Stafford Market Place, my family and I have frequented the location. Ok truth be told, sometimes even twice a day. We all crave Crave! It is always exciting to have a new place open up in your neighborhood, so when I saw another yogurt establishment opening up just down the street, I thought there was no way it could compare to Crave.
I felt a bit like I was going behind Crave’s back when I entered the doors of Sweet Frog today, but once their creamy yogurt hit my taste buds, the guilt disappeared!
Sweet Frog and Crave offer numerous flavor options that make the selection process challenging. Not sure “challenging” is the right word when you have the opportunity to sample each one of the flavors if you desire, but it makes me feel like I am actually working for my indulgence.
I had the opportunity to enjoy the legendary Pinkberry frozen yogurt this past summer while visiting California. I simply could not get enough and when our trip ended, I felt like I was leaving behind a best friend. Pinkberry’s classic tart is unlike anything I have ever tasted before, until today…
Sweet Frog has a classic tart too and it is phenomenal. My friends think I am weird that I like tart yogurt as opposed to the sweeter flavors, but it is just my personal preference. Of course, when I saw Dulce de leche listed above the swirling goodness, I just had to try it. Amazing! Every single one I tried I enjoyed thoroughly. I finally settled on a combination of Classic Tart, Sweet Coconut and Mango.
My only complaint, if you will, is that it is a little too close to my gym. Guess I’ll have to work out harder to support my habit.
Tonight I am taking the kids back there so “they” can try it too! Will my kids be converts as well? Of course, if I am the one driving and paying, I suppose they will have little choice in the matter!

I’ve tried all tree of these. Although I live out West, I come out to Virginia for several months each year. I’m so crazy about SweetFrog that I can’t eat the others anymore. Love the fun welcoming colors, the respectful and helpful counter people, also the fabulous flavors and toppings. It’s not just cereal! My mouth is watering just thinking of SweetFrog! Love it!!
