Dale City Independence Day Parade

by Laura on July 3, 2012

Come out to Dale City for their annual Independence Day Parade and Family Day on Wednesday! The parade starts at 10am and is followed by the Family Day.

The parade starts at Kirkdale Road and Dale Boulevard at 10am and marches on Dale Boulevard before ending at the Center Plaza Commuter Lot. The Center Plaza Commuter Lot will be the location of the Family Day which runs until 2pm.

This is a pretty good size parade with over 150 entries. The Marine Corps Band and honor guard from Marine Corps Base Quantico will lead the parade. There will be local high school bands in the parade and plenty of other floats! Expect it to be warm so bring an umbrella or a hat. And don’t forget the water and chairs!

Family Day will have food vendors, local artisans offering unique gifts and plenty of games and entertainment for all ages.

Later that evening at 6:35pm, the Potomac Nationals will be playing in nearby Pfitzner Stadium and at the end of the game they will have a special 4th of July fireworks display. There’s nothing more all American than baseball! So come out and support the home team!

Dale City, an unincorporated community, is right next to Woodbridge and about a 15 minute drive from Quantico. One unique fact about Dale City is that every neighborhood ends in “dale”.
