Looking for something fun and free to do this Saturday night? If so check out the American Music Concert Series in historic Market Square in Fredericksburg!
This Saturday July 14th you can enjoy some great bluegrass-folk music performed by The Green Boys. The show will start at 7:00pm at Market Square.
The Green Boys are natives of Virginia and have been together since 2007 and were originally called The Green Brothers. After adding a few more local musicians, they became The Green Boys. In April 2010 the band released their first EP which can be purchased at CDbaby Green Boys. The Green Boys perform at venues throughout the NOVA area and attract a mixed age and multicultural fan base. Sounds like this would make for a great evening of music and fun!
Market Square is located at 1001 Princess Anne Street. Market Square has been in Fredericksburg since 1728 and has been the site of many activities including fairs, militia musters and eventually was used as a market. You may want to get to town early and visit the shops and museums in the area. For more information about the concert and the surrounding area go to FAMCC.
The Green Boys concert is part of an ongoing concert series being held by the Fredericksburg area Museum & Cultural Center. The Concerts are held every Saturday at 7:00pm from now until September 1st. Some of the great music coming up includes the University of Mary Washington Faculty Jazz Combo and the group The Believers.
