Quantico 50 Meter Pool!

by Laura on July 16, 2012

If you need a break from the heat and high humidity, then look no further than the 50 Meter Pool on Quantico! It’s located next to the Clubs of Quantico off of Dunlap Circle. You can’t miss it because the parking lot is usually of cars.

There is an Olympic size pool and wading pool. The wading pool is a zero depth entry for easy access to the mushroom fountain and frog slide. You can lap swim at the 50M Pool or just play in the water. The 50M Pool also has a winding water slide, 3 meter diving board and 1 meter diving board. You can also have pool parties there!

For everyone’s safety, there is a lifeguard on duty. However, there are some rules that must be followed. Children 10 years of age and over must pass a swim test to use the pool unaccompanied.
Children 9 years of age and younger must be accompanied by a parent or guardian who is 16 years of age or older when in the water. These kinds of rules along with some other rules will make sure that everyone has a safe and fun time!

There is adult lap swimming time Monday to Friday from 5:30am to 7:30am and 11am to 12:45pm. The Pool offers various exercise classes Monday to Thursday from 11:30am to 12:30pm. Open swim runs on Monday to Friday from 1pm to 7pm, Saturday and holidays from 11am to 7pm and Sunday from noon to 7pm.

Admission runs from free to $3.50 depending on military status. Individual and family season passes are available. Exercise classes are free for active duty military and $5 a class for all others. You can purchase a season pass and save a lot of money! There also swim lessons available!

You can bring in food and drinks, but glass containers of any kind are not allowed.
